Its not a case of waiting its an issue of space. Why should the ps3 have to install and use space to run a game the smae as the 360. It shouldnt happen.

I have more space on my 20gig 360 than i do on my 40gig ps3 yet i have double the amount of games on my 360? WTF.. this mandantory installs are complete balls. Optional yeah im all for it, there if you want it but not forced. 5gig for Bioshock is crazy, doesn't need it on 360 and shouldn't need it on ps3.
Sony did exactly the same thing with ps1 and ps2 buying up sega and nintendo's developers so to say microsoft are all bad because of it is just short sighted. There just doing exactly what Sony did only with more money.
this story of in and out of preduction is quite normal for a big flick like this. It will happen, it just might take years. Look how long it took for Lord of the rings to hit production or Batman Begins. hollywood unfortunalty drags it heels when theres risk invoved which is one of the reasons they make so many duff sequels.
I agree with both the above. Backward compatibility on the 360 hasn't been to bad with the majortity of games working but would be nice to see it on the next one fully along with transferable gamertags.
doubt it will come until 2010, its standard practice to start game development years before the next console launch and the only whisperings of a game for the next xbox are Halo 4. The clearout is just a price drop to the sweet spot something ps2 did also and what ps3 will also do when manufacturing costs are reduced. Its standard business, considering the 360 has been out since Nov 05 the price drop was way overdue.

I remember the same thing. It was 07, then no it would be 08 now 09. Its quite funny really.
Ps is great yeah but enough of this year of the ps3, the only console dominating is the Wii and with the 360 cuts it will be cat and dog again for the forseeable future.
Ps3 is doing well and the 360 will get into sride with the price cut. This year has been good for Ps3 but there far from reaching the no1 postion again and it will be a year before they reach 360.

Ive had the RROD twice since buying a 360 on release and it really is appalling that it happened and Ms let it happen.
Saying that there making money from the 360 and eating into marketshare so did they make the right decision? for gamers like me i would say no. The 3 year warrenty helped ease it but i would rather have had a less faulty machine. For microsoft though time will tell whether it paid off.

Gears of flop soled over 5million copies, hardly a flop. By that thinking that means MGS4 is a damp squid. uncharted sold 50,000 in its first week while too human which isnt great i admit sold 130,000. So is Uncharted a flop too?

Ive been ready for ages shame Sony hasn't been. Got a feeling by the time it arrives i will have lost interest.
I hopr they improve it from the feedback. Its average at the moment. Its going to have to up its game to compete with similar titles in the genre. And yeah im having to wait to get in games but thats to be expected with beta.
